Skybed is an airplane seat that Marc Newson has designed for the business class of the planes that carry passengers during short distance journeys of the airline Qantas Airways.
Skybed has been devised to meet the needs of a business person who likes to have a quick sleep during the flight without feeling the uneasiness of laying in a totally horizontal position. The slightly inclined position that the seat takes when switched from the conformation of an armchair to that of a bed is suitable either for sleeping or resting comfortably.
