Margherita - Armchair in rattan designed by Franco Albini and manufactured by the company Vittorio Bonacina & C

Margherita - Vittorio Bonacina & C

armchair in rattan

Margherita is an original armchair in rattan created by the world-famous designer and architect Franco Albini. Characterized by a mild, articulate, and complex shape, is an excellent illustrative example of the concept of grace and naturalness, whose application seems to be one of the distinctive elements of Franco Albini's creations. In this way Margherita reflects a creative philosophy that states that the design of an object which is meant to be industrially produced can benefit from the use of a conceptual bridge linked to artisan stylistic values.

Margherita has won a golden medal at the ninth Triennale di Milano in 1951, and is featured in the permanent exhibitions of many design museums; some of these are:

- Moma Museum of Modern Art, New York, US
- Moma Museum of Modern Art, Philadelphia, US
- Triennale di Milano, Milan, Italy
- Montreal Museum of Fine Art Arts, Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Margherita is produced without interruption since 1951 by the manufacturing company Vittorio Bonacina & C.
