Koziol
(1927)
firm producing plastic products for the home
An orientation towards artistic fields and high quality together with free expression of creativity, and an instinct for contemporary trend characterise the production of the company Koziol. The belief in the importance of working in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere seems to be reflected in every creation.
Around 1928 Bernhard Koziol opened a workshop in the German city of Erbach situated in the forest of Odenwald with the aim of studying and elaborating plastic materials.
In 1935 new machinery for injection moulding enabled the company to produce large amounts of items some of which were objects made of thermoplastic materials (materials that soften if the temperature increases). As a result new opportunities became available to the firm.
In 1951 Dream Globe, the popular transparent sphere containing enchanted landscapes with snowing effects was brought onto the market. Subsequently a large increase in the demand for products to the company occurred.
In 1982 the brothers Stephan and Bernhard Koziol became directors of the company and further developed the themes of the orientation of product design towards new trends.
In 1992 Koziol started working largely on the market sector of gifts and gadgets, and set up a work method based on the recognition of the importance of friendship among members of staff in order to obtain an atmosphere that is suitable for generating new ideas and producing successful results.
Since 1999 all the people of the staff of the company Koziol, two hundred members, work together in a happy and creative atmosphere to develop, produce, and market the sensual articles designed by the firm.
