italian household appliances company
The firm Bialetti produces millions of coffee machines every year. The most loved model, Moka Express, represents a phenomenon in the industrial design field for the functionality and simplicity of its design, and the excellence of the coffee it produces.
Alfonso Bialetti, founder of the company, studied the mechanisms of boilers and identified the necessary principles to create Moka Express: the steam produced by boiling water finds its way through a layer of ground coffee and reaches a container above in form of rich hot coffee that tastes smooth, strong and intense.
This invention transformed the firm Bialetti, which until then was just a small artisan workshop, into an international leading manufacturer. Apparently today
ninety per cent of the Italian population owns one or more Bialetti's products.
British people who have Italian friends love to receive a moka from them as a gift.
