The figure of Mario Bellini is characterised by an intellectual and applicative eclecticism that generates his numerous professional activities in creative fields like architecture, product design, visual communication, urban planning, artistic collecting and other.
Among the works undertaken by Mario Bellini at the beginning of his career are tight collaborations with the company of data processing systems Olivetti for whom he created Divisumma, a set of elaborative apparatuses.
In the field of industrial design Mario Bellini is one of the innovator personalities of furniture and gadget design. He has created designs of great artistic and functional value for some of the most important international manufacturing companies like Cassina, Flos, B&B, Artemide, Brionvega, Vitra, and Heller.
