Arco - Floor lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni and produced by the company Flos

Arco - Flos

(1962)
floor lamp

While appearing like a floor lamp, Arco (Italian noun meaning arch) functions as a light shade that is not linked to the ceiling.

Created by the world famous designers Achille Castiglioni and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Arco is made of valuable and safe materials. It has a base of Carrara marble, a stem of stainless steel, and an aluminium cap that smoothly reflects the light coming from the light bulb.

Its base has a transversal hole that goes from one side to the other in order to allow carrying the lamp by the use of a stick that, once inserted, act as a double handle. Arco’s weight is 65 kilograms.
